Eram oito aspirantes ao título, e quem ganhou foi Kitty Hiccups, que também é David Hyland, de Weehawkin, no estado de New Jersey. Ela venceu depois de cantar "I Wanna Be a Rockette".
Mais de 1200 ingressos foram vendidos para o evento. O dinheiro arrecadado na competição será doado a diversas instituições que dão apoio a grupos gays.
